PEDAGOGICAL MODULE (LEVEL I - FIRST PHASE)

You need to pursue the psycho-pedagogical training programme if you wish to become a teacher (pedagogical module).


The Department for Teacher Training is the only academic body that provides psycho-pedagogical, didactic, and practical training to certify teaching skills in the following lines of study: Romanian, Hungarian, and German.

Admission

Admission to the Level I (undergraduate degree) psycho-pedagogical training programme will be conducted online upon confirmation of place at the faculty.

A motivation essay is required for admission to the psycho-pedagogical training programme (Level I). It will be written in the language you have selected to pursue psycho-pedagogical training.

Each applicant will write an essay which must conform to the guidelines outlined below:

  • Presentation of your personal reasons and motivations for choosing a teaching profession.
  • Presentation of strengths, qualities, and personal attributes that, in your opinion, qualify you for a teaching career.
  • Providing a personal viewpoint on the teaching profession - Do you see it as a primary or secondary choice for your personal development?
  • The essay will be written in Times New Roman font size 12, with one-line spacing, and will be no longer than one A4 page.

To apply, you will need to submit the following documents:

  • motivation essay
  • family doctor medical certificate - certifying that the applicant is free of contagious illnesses or other disorders that are incompatible with the teaching profession
  • Level I learning agreement filled out in Romanian (and, optionally, in the language selected to pursue psycho-pedagogical training)

Tuition-related information

  • Candidates admitted to faculties on a state-funded place will maintain the same status (state-funded) at DPPD.
  • Candidates admitted to faculties on tuition will be required to pay a fee in order to pursue the courses in the pedagogical module.
  • The first instalment, i.e. the fee for the first semester of the academic year, is to be paid in October.

The first phase of training consists of two primary components:

  • Level I - first phase
  • NIVELUL II (aprofundare)

The first phase of training consists of two primary components:

  • psycho-pedagogical, didactic, and practical training provided by DPPD
  • specialised training provided by the faculties

One must complete the two components of training in order to become a teacher (psycho-pedagogical, didactic, practical and specialised training).

Successful completion of the psycho-pedagogical training programme Level I entitles you to work as a teacher in mandatory pre-university education, based on the specialisation obtained through the bachelor's degree.

Admission to the Level I psycho-pedagogical training programme will be made exclusively online upon confirmation of place at the faculty.

Candidates enrolled in an undergraduate programme on a state-funded place will benefit of state funding to study the Pedagogical Module courses.

Candidates enrolled in an undergraduate programme on a tuition-paying basis will study the pedagogical module courses on tuition.
