The Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPSE) was established in 1997. Its present structure reflects the declared intention of the academic staff to cover domains and subdomains which are scientifically and professionally related.
Integrating high academic standards and a broad educational offer, FPSE provides initial training and continuing education in the field of Psychology and Educational Sciences. The programmes of study are conducted in Romanian, English, Hungarian and German.

Psychology Field

1 Specialisation PSYCHOLOGY
- 3 years, full time education - in Romanian and Hungarian
- 3 years, distance education - in Romanian and Hungarian
 

Selection criteria

 

For the Romanian line of study:

  • Baccalaureate score worth 50% of the admission score.
  • Written test grade assessing general cognitive skills, worth 50% of the admission score.
  • Applicants in the July 2025 session who sit the Nicolae Mărgineanu competition in March 2025 may choose to replace their written test grade with the competition grade.

For the Hungarian line of study:

  • Baccalaureate score worth 20% of the admission score.
  • Oral test grade, worth 80% of the admission score.
2 Specialisation PSYCHOLOGY - COGNITIVE SCIENCES - 3 years, full time education - in English
 

Selection criteria

  • Baccalaureate score worth 50% of the admission score.
  • Written test grade assessing general cognitive skills, worth 50% of the admission score. The examination is conducted in English.
 

Education Sciences Field

3 Specialisation SPECIAL EDUCATION - 3 years, full time education - in Romanian and Hungarian
- 3 years, distance education - in Romanian and Hungarian
 

Selection criteria

 

For the Romanian line of study:

  • Baccalaureate score worth 50% of the admission score.
  • The grade for the argumentative essay, submitted after application following a procedure communicated by the faculty, worth 50% of the admission score.

For the Hungarian line of study:

  • Baccalaureate score worth 20% of the admission score.
  • Written test grade (argumentative essay), worth 80% of the admission score.
4 Specialisation PEDAGOGY - 3 years, full time education - in Romanian
 

Selection criteria

  • Motivation essay, with date and signature, submitted upon application, graded on a Pass/Fail basis.
  • Baccalaureate score worth 100% of the admission score.
